Before becoming a McDonald’s Franchisee in 2018, Hubs enjoyed a successful career with McArthurGlen, Europe’s leading developer of designer shopping outlets, where he served as IT Director and led the development of innovative IT solutions. Inspired by his father’s entrepreneurial path, Hubs had long aspired to run his own business. After exploring various opportunities, he chose to join McDonald’s, attracted by the strength of its global brand and the chance to own and operate restaurants in his local community.
Hubs acquired his first restaurant in Barnet in late 2018, followed by Borehamwood in 2019, just ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, he doubled the size of his operation by acquiring two additional Drive-Thrus, and in March 2025 he expanded again with the purchase of the Potters Bar branch. Today, his business has an annual turnover of £25 million and employs over 400 people.
Hubs lives in Pinner with his wife, Meena, and their two children, Dylan and Anisia — whose names inspired the Lansia Trading Company. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, their dog Enzo, and close friends.
